Sign of Saturn was my first "real" band. It was a folk/rock trio that evolved out of the duo "the Nameless Ones," which was myself and Laura. (The Nameless Ones released two demo tapes and played countless college gigs.) Sign of Saturn had high aims, but as the story almost always goes, never took flight. We recorded a pretty good CD, had it manufactured, and promptly broke up. Several years later, Laura and I are still great friends, but S.O.S. gigs are extremely rare. Laura is one of the most talented musicians I've ever worked with, and at this point the S.O.S. CD is the only official recording of her. Hopefully, that will change in the near future, but nothing concrete is planned at the time of this writing. The S.O.S. CD has lots of great tracks on it, including "Kansa's Sky," "The Silent Type," and "Opponent of the Season," which remain some of my favorite tracks in my recording career.
